The following is a list of tips on how to operate your new Robot, to see our shipping and return policies, go to E-Store Policy

1. How do I assemble and take apart my robot?

Robots are very easy to assemble and take apart. Just use your "G-Key" that comes with your robot.  Besides being a key chain, it doubles as a robot screwdriver.  Notice that the arms and legs have flat head screws in their shoulder and hip joints.  The key chain screwdriver fits into these screws.  To put on a limb, line up the part so there is no gap between the part and the torso, remember wires are always in the back of the robot.  Then line up the screw appropriately so the lock symbols are at 12 o'clock and turn it 90 degrees clockwise until you hear a "click".  The click sound is very important as that will confirm that the limb is locked into place.  Please note that as the robots have different personalities, the "click" sound will vary by robot.  Sometimes it will be very soft and other times it will be loud.  In addition, often you have to press hard to lock the part into place; don't worry, it won't break.  After the part is in place, connect the cables to the fuel cell.  Now, you are ready to play.  To take the robot apart, reverse these directions.  We have also enclosed a guide to assembling your robot, click here to download.

2. How do I make my robot talk?

Robots talk, say your name, and even have cool sound effects.  To operate these functions, you need a Supersonic Fuel Cell.  If you have the Supersonic Fuel Cell, you will note three buttons on the back of your robot (in the silver battery pack).  The two outer buttons control the right and left limbs; each button corresponds to the limb next to it.  Each outer button has three sound effects that it cycles through.  When you hold it down for more than 2 seconds, you can play the sound effect longer.  Motorized parts will also continue to move for as long as you hold the button.  For example: if you have CJ's Moto-Blaster, when you hold down the left side for more than 2 seconds, he will continue to shoot in rhythm with his sound effect.  The middle button is the voice box.  When you hold the middle button, your robot will cycle through different phrases associated with his character.  To change your robot from good to bad or bad to good, just press down the two outer buttons.  Notice his eyes will change color and he will say something different.  To hear the robot's nickname, your name, Force ID, Galaxy I Rank and High Score press the three buttons simultaneously for longer than 2 seconds.  To download a complete list of instructions click here.

3. How do I operate my programmable rover?

Your rover is a programmable vehicle.  If it comes with a deco pack, download the assembly instructions to learn how to snap on and off the interchangeable parts.  To operate your rover just press any combination of buttons.  The buttons are labeled with arrows.  The right arrow will make it turn right (notice the turning lights on the rover).  The left arrow will make it turn left.  The straight arrow will keep it going straight.  Each time the button is pressed, the rover will move about a foot and a half.  You can program your own combination of buttons.  The rover will memorize up to 25 different commands.

4. How do I operate the new GALAXY Blaster/RC Rover?

The Galaxy Blaster is a new remote control rover compatible with all robots.  To turn on the Galaxy Blaster turn the base over and move switch to "on".  Afterward, select a channel "A". "B" or "C", make sure that you match the channel selection on the hand held controller. To move forward push both levers up, and reverse both levers down.  To turn just move each lever in an opposite direction.  To see a full list of instructions, click here

5. How do I change the batteries?

If you see that your robot's voice or motorized parts start slowing down or acting strangely, then it is time to change the batteries.  To change the batteries, remove the fuel cell from the robot.  On the back side of the fuel cell, you will notice a screw.  This is the screw that unlocks and locks the battery chamber.  Just unscrew it, and take out the old batteries.  Replace the robot batteries with 3 AAA batteries.  Follow battery placement instructions for inserting the new batteries.  To remove the rover batteries, turn the rover over and unscrew the battery chamber.  The rover uses 4 AA batteries.  Follow the battery placement instructions for inserting the new ones into the vehicle.  Please only change batteries with the supervision of an adult and remember to dispose of batteries safely.

6. What is the appropriate age for ROBOTGALAXY?

ROBOTGALAXY Robots and Rovers are appropriate for any kid who loves robots, space, and exploration.  We have explorers as young as three and as old as 103, mostly,  the average Galaxy Explorer is between the ages of 5-12.

7. I did not receive an e-mail when I sign up online to play on Galaxy I?

After registering you will receive an e-mail from play@robotgalaxy.com within minutes of signing up.   A parent must validate the e-mail before playing online.  If you did not receive an email, check your "junk mail" folder.  If you still cannot find your e-mail feel free to click: contact us

8. Why do I need to sign up online, if I already registered in your store or e-store?

We take your child's online security very seriously, and adhere to the strictest COPA guidelines which require a parent’s authorization before playing games online.  The e-mail registration in our stores is to receive information about our Online Galaxy game.  In addition, it enables you to create a separate online account for e-store purchases.  As with any online service, children should not share their email address with anyone without your permission. If you did not receive an email from the store registration process, do not worry, sign up anyway to create a user account on Galaxy I.

9. I connect my robot online and nothing happens?

Be sure to check your connections both to the computer and the robot on the "Pre-flight Checklist".  Please note that the Robot USB connection is only compatible with Microsoft Windows XP and Vista and best viewed on Internet Explorer 7 (MSIE 7).  We are working on providing support for Mac operating systems and earlier versions of Windows.

After confirm you are using the correct browser an operating system, go to ROBOTGALAXY.com and click PLAY.  Then proceed to the PRE-FLIGHT CHECKLIST to ensure that your computer is properly set up. Install Supersonic Fuel Cell ActiveX Plug-in to sync your Robot.  Once your computer is ready, a green button will appear at the bottom of the screen.  Click on this button and you will be sent to GALAXY I.  Follow steps to sign up as a NEW EXPLORER and activate your Player Account (this is required, even though you may have signed up in the store). You will receive an e-mail to confirm your account. Click on link in the e-mail and proceed to GALAXY I to login. First time users, check that your Robot has been previously programmed at the store, if not enter your username and password and click on PROGRAM NEW ROBOT instead of PLAY. Follow on-screen instructions and enter the ARSENAL. Aboard GALAXY I, go to the BRIDGE to access games on the TRAINING DECK, robot battles on the BATTLE STATION, story information on the COMM. DECK, and new Robot downloads at the CONSOLE, including new downloads such as eye color, sound effects, phrases, high score, and your alarm clock settings.

10. I disable "Pop-up Blockers" but still cannot get past the Pre-flight Checklist?

When disabling Pop-Ups, select to "Allow Always ROBOTGALAXY.com."  If this does not work, check to see if you have other web-based application installed on your browser, such as the Google or Yahoo! Toolbars.   You may have to separately disable pop-ups in each application.  Click here for a list of ways to disable common third-party pop-up blocker applications.

11. I see my Robot in the Arsenal on Galaxy I, but the colors do not match?

The Supersonic Fuel Cell can automatically read everything about your robot, but it cannot match colors (it is color blind), you will be prompted to choose parts.  If you do not have wired parts connected, flexor arms and extender legs will be selected for you.

12.  I Unplug my Robot and I do not Hear Anything?

First off, check if you are really disconnected to the computer as your robot will not play sounds when connected.  Secondly, check your batteries.  Finally, if you exited Galaxy I  too prematurely, before programming finished, then you may have erased the content on your Supersonic Fuel Cell.  Don't Worry, you can reprogram your Supersonic Fuel Cell on your next visit to Galaxy I by clicking "Program New Robot".  If that does not work, you can reset the Supersonic Fuel Cell by removing the batteries and pressing down the two outside buttons while inserting in the USB cable.  When the light flashes green you can now re-program your robot on the Login Screen, after reprogramming insert fresh batteries and play as normal.
